The Joyful Foundation makes blankets with a commitment to "ZERO WASTE.” We are very proud to admit that 100% of all blanket fabric is Recycled and Reused by the foundation.

The Joyful Foundation supplies quality hand-made blankets as a gift of comfort and warmth to individuals in their time of illness or hardship. We are built on compassion for the individual and belief in the ability to change a life with one small act of kindness at a time.

BLANKETS

The Joyful Foundation supplies Lap Blankets hand-made 100% by Joyful volunteers to hospitals, cancer centers and individuals receiving long-term medical treatments, chemotherapy, renal dialysis, as well as victims of spousal abuse and their children. The small scraps of fabric left over from making the blankets are then used to decorate Handmade Cards which are attached to blankets when they are distributed to hospitals and cancer centers.

DOG TOYS

Large scraps of fabric are cut in strips and skillfully weaved into Recycled Dog Toys while the smaller scraps of fabric are stuffed into old pillowcases to make Recycled Dog Beds. Youth groups and Girl Scout troops often turn this into a great service project by decorating the pillowcases and delivering them to local animal shelters. Donations collected from these recycled toys and beds are used to help purchase additional fleece for blankets. Every $20 raised allows us to donate one more blanket to a sick adult or child!
